Melbourne Writers Festival, a nationally and internationally-acclaimed literary festival, is running a contest for aspiring film-makers, based around our 2011 theme, Stories Unbound.

We are looking for 20 to 30 second short films in any visual medium, film, video, flash animation, clay-mation – you name it. As long as it’s visual, fun, and has something to do with writing and Stories Unbound, we want to see it.

Videos will be featured on the MWF YouTube channel and the best film, chosen by the festival, will be featured during the 2011 Melbourne Writers Festival at Fed Square in Melbourne. The winner will also receive a book package worth over $250 and a festival pass, allowing access to festival events.*

Entries are open now, and close 19 August 2011.
