Applications are now open for the 2012 Vice-Chancellor’s Ancora Imparo Student Leadership Program.
The program has been designed to help passionate and idealistic students prepare for future leadership roles and involves theoretical and case study components, discussions, debates and seminars, as well as the study of past and present models and contexts of leadership.
Students are selected during their first year undergraduate studies at Monash University, or at Monash College, to participate in the program during their second year at the university's Victorian campuses.
Successful applicants will participate in a three-day residential component prior to first semester (2012) and attend monthly seminars. The Program will take place over 12 months during the students' second year of study at Monash, but is not a lecture series and involves no formal assessment.
During 2010, students heard from eminent speakers including Julian Burnside, Jeff Kennett, Kay Patterson, and Leanne Rowe.
For complete program details, important dates, eligibility criteria, how to apply and more, visit the Ancora Imparo Student Leadership Program website.
Applications close 5pm, Monday 1 August.
