Applications for the 2011 Vice-Chancellor’s Ancora Imparo Student Leadership Program are now open.
The program seeks to build participants' leadership capacities by providing opportunities for them to share and test their ideas with other students, Monash staff, distinguished alumni and community leaders.
Students are selected during their first year undergraduate studies at Monash University, or Monash College, to participate in the program during second year studies at the University’s Victorian campuses.
Successful applicants take part in a three-day residential course during February and attend monthly seminars on Tuesday evenings.
During 2010 students have heard, or will hear, from eminent speakers including Julian Burnside, Jeff Kennett, Kay Patterson, and Leanne Rowe. Small student group presentations will also be made on a range of stimulating topics, following which there will be an opportunity for all Program participants to contribute by way of debate and discussion.
