More about Dr Christine Nixon

  • As the 19th Chief Commissioner of Victoria Police, Dr Nixon led more than 14,000 staff, operating across more than 500 locations, and overseeing an annual budget of $1.7 billion.
  • As former Chair of the Victorian Bushfire Reconstruction and Recovery Authority, from February 2009 to September 2010, Dr Nixon oversaw the largest recovery and rebuilding operation Victoria has ever undertaken
  • She is a renowned speaker with global keynote presentations at Leadership Victoria, Hong Kong Government, European Union, New Zealand and Pacific Island nations, numerous businesses including major banking institutions, retailers, not for profit organisations, and major consulting organisations.
  • In 2021, Christine was appointed an Officer of the Order of Australia for law enforcement, to women in policing, and to tertiary education in the 2021 Queen's Birthday Honours.
