The Victorian Equal Opportunity and Human Rights Commission will conduct seminars at Monash campuses throughout late March, to inform international students about equal opportunity and workplace rights.
Pariticpants will receive a brief overview of:
- rights in the workplace
- relevant anti-discrimination laws for international students
- the Victorian Equal Opportunity Act, including definitions of unlawful discrimination, sexual harassment, bullying, vilification and victimisation
- how the Commission can help individuals, including its enquiry service, complaint-handling, investigation and conciliation processes
