Australian Collaborative Education Network (ACEN) is the professional association for practitioners and researchers from the tertiary education sector, industry, community and government who are involved in work-integrated learning (WIL) in Australia.
2017 ACEN student scholarships
Applications are now open for scholarships to provide financial support for students undertaking a WIL placement in a regional or remote area of Australia as part of their 2017/2018 university studies. Eight scholarships to the value of $1,500 each are being offered to eligible university students who may experience financial disadvantage from having to complete a WIL placement. The scholarships are awarded on a competitive basis and assessed against the criteria.
Applications close Friday, 21 April.
Eligibility
- Must be from institutions that are financial members of ACEN
- Must be studying a postgraduate or undergraduate degree program which requires a WIL placement as a part of their studies
- Both domestic and international students are eligible to apply.
The WIL placement must be:
- Undertaken and completed between 1 June 2017 and 30 May 2018
- Undertaken in an inner regional, outer regional, remote or very remote location which requires relocation. Regional and Remote locations (RA2- RA5) are noted on the map.
- Fulltime (4-5 days per week, for a minimum of three weeks duration)
- Within Australia
- A requirement for completion of the degree.
