Transurban developed the FEET Mentoring Program for high-achieving female university students studying engineering or technology, or who have an interest in a career in engineering or technology.

About Transurban

Transurban's diversity vision is to strengthen the Transurban community through inclusion, respect and valuing difference. Gender diversity is one of their focus areas and there is a range of practices in place to help achieve gender equality across all levels of the organisation, including developing female talent for senior management and executive roles. They have been awarded the prestigious Workplace Gender Equality Agency Employer of Choice Citation for three consecutive years, recognising their active commitment to gender equality in the workplace.

About the program

The program involves participants spending 35 hours at Transurban offices, working closely with a key mentor from Transurban. The intention behind the program is to encourage females into the profession by providing them with support and experience even before graduation.

Participants will:

  • be partnered with a suitable Transurban professional from their discipline to act as their mentor
  • have the opportunity engage and network with other professionals and key areas in the organisation, including Transurban Executive Committee members
  • receive a certificate of recognition that can be used as part of their professional portfolio

Securing a place in the FEET mentoring program is a great introduction to their business and the career opportunities available in this sector, including their graduate program.
