The Australian Collaborative Education Network (ACEN) is the professional association for practitioners and researchers from the tertiary education sector, industry, community and government who are involved in work-integrated learning (WIL) in Australia.

ACEN is offering eight student scholarships in 2016, each valued at $1500.

Applications are now open for these scholarships, which provide financial support to eligible students undertaking WIL placements in regional or remote areas of Australia as part of their 2016/2017 university studies.

Eligibility

Scholarship applicants must be from institutions that are financial members of ACEN (of which Monash University is one) and must be studying an undergraduate or postgraduate degree program that requires a WIL placement.

Both domestic and international students are eligible to apply.

WIL placements must be:

  • undertaken and completed between 1 June 2016 and 30 May 2017
  • undertaken within Australia, in an inner regional, outer regional, remote or very remote location which requires the participant to relocate. (Regional and Remote locations (RA2- RA5) are noted on this map.)
  • full-time (4-5 days per week) for a minimum of three weeks duration
  • a formal requirement for completion of the degree.

Applications

To apply is a two-stage online process.

The deadline for stage one is 11 April, 2016.

Applicants shortlisted after stage one will be invited to continue with stage two.
