Transurban developed the FEET Mentoring Program for female university students studying engineering or technology, to assist them to excel in traditionally male-dominated professions.
The program involves female students spending approximately 35 hours at Transurban offices, working closely with a key mentor and observing and discussing the realities of the profession. The intention behind the program is to encourage females into the profession by providing them with support and experience even before they graduate.
The next intake will be over the December 2015/January 2016 period.
Participants will:
- be partnered with a suitable Transurban professional from their discipline to act as their mentor (35 hours commitment)
- have the opportunity engage and network with other professionals and key areas in the organisation, including Transurban Executive Committee members
- receive a certificate of recognition that can be used as part of their professional portfolio
