INCUBATE, an award-winning start-up accelerator program will be running at Monash University from late January to April 2015, in partnership with The University of Sydney Union.

INCUBATE encourages entrepreneurship, promotes calculated risk-taking and supports the creation of start-up ventures, providing entrepreneurs on campus with funding and a 14-week guided program designed to set a novel business idea up for success.

Open to all Monash University staff, students and alumni, the program will fund up to six high-potential start-ups to accelerate the development of start-up ventures over three months from late January to April 2015. Each individual or team selected to participate will receive a $5,000 equity-free business grant, 14 weeks of co-working space, mentorship from Australia’s leading entrepreneurs and workshops by experienced early-stage advisers.

Those who receive funding from the Monash program will also have the opportunity to take part in Demo Day to showcase what could potentially become a multi-billion dollar business for the founders. A panel of investors, industry leaders and the university community will gather to hear the start-ups pitch at the event in April 2015, in Melbourne.
