Oxfam-Monash Innovators is a unique initiative of the Oxfam-Monash Partnership, giving passionate students the chance to drive real-world change with their own new and creative ideas.
Open to all Monash students, the Innovators program gives participants an opportunity to develop and pitch their own original ideas to Oxfam Australia, a major international NGO. What’s more, if Oxfam likes the idea, students will get the chance to work with Oxfam to bring the project to life.
During the Innovators program, participants will work in teams with a range of expert mentors to tackle a challenge that Oxfam is looking for fresh, young minds to help solve. Teams will then pitch their solutions to a panel of judges and the most exciting and innovative idea will be awarded funding and mentoring to help make it a reality. The final presentation night will be attended by individuals from across the development sector.
The Oxfam-Monash Innovators Program runs over two weeks in November and December and interested students must be available to attend all sessions (25 November and 2, 4, 8 and 11 December) to apply.
Monash students of all disciplines and study levels are eligible to apply, however for this year's program, applications are encouraged from students with skills in particular areas.
