The Amy Gillett Foundation (AGF) is a charity with one purpose – reducing the incidence of death and injury of bike riders. The Foundation was born out of tragedy, the death of Australian cyclist, Amy Gillett, who was hit by an out of control motorist whilst cycling with her National Team teammates in Germany.
The Amy Gillett Foundation Honours Research Scholarship is open to fourth year research students from all disciplines currently enrolled in any university in Australia. The scholarship offers a $5,000 stipend to be used to support an Honours year research project focused on improving bike rider safety.
Research findings will be used by the Amy Gillett Foundation in its work to improve the safety of all bike riders in Australia.
