The Victorian Equal Opportunity and Human Rights Commission (VEOHRC) is reviewing its My Work Rights campaign, an initiative that aims to raise awareness of young women’s rights at work.

Experiencing harassment and discrimination can have real, negative impacts on a person’s confidence and wellbeing and VEOHRC research shows that among young Victorian women:

  • a third have experienced sexual harassment at work
  • more than a third have been discriminated against at work
  • many often don’t make a complaint about discrimination or sexual harassment in the workplace - they are more likely to simply resign

VEOHRC has developed a quiz to help young women find out about their rights at work. Take the short online quiz now to help the Commission improve the campaign. The survey is anonymous and takes 10 minutes or less to complete. Alternatively, go to the quiz link to get a copy of an information brochure on youg women's rights at work, or to visit the VEOHRC website for more information.

Also, if you or anyone you know have any questions about rights at work you can call the Commission’s Enquiry Line for a free and confidential chat on 1300 292 153 or email enquiries@veohrc.vic.gov.au.
