The Australian Institute of Energy (Young Energy Professionals) and the Australian Pipeline Industry Association (Young Pipeliners) are pleased to present the Ready for Work Mentoring Program.
This program provides an opportunity for students to make connections and gain practical information about the energy and resources sector (ie. primary resources, utilities, government, market operation and services business - eg. legal advice, engineering, management consulting). It will pair penultimate and final year students with professionals in the energy and resources sector based on their discipline, areas of interest and mentoring program goals.
The program runs from May to September 2013 and participation is free.
Key objectives
- To provide students with practical information about the application and interview process, as well as industry-specific knowledge to support their academic learning
- To provide opportunities for professionals to build leadership skills and help others
Eligibility
Eligible mentees are students in their final 24 months of completing their degree (penultimate or final year).
Participation is encouraged from all disciplines including engineering, business and commerce, environmental management, science, law and IT.
